A little history of Mesotherapy Treatment
Mesotherapy treatments were developed in the 1950's in France.
Dr. Michel Pistor, a clinical research doctor, started the field of mesotherapy. Incidentally, it was not him, but the French press which coined the term "mesotherapy".
Since then, the rich and famous in Europe have long been going for mesotherapy treatments. But the trend never caught on in USA until the recent years, perhaps due to skepticism about the effectiveness of mesotherapy.
In 1987, the French Academy of Medicine finally recognized Mesotherapy as a medicine specialty. That is, doctors who specialize in administering mesotherapy treatments are now recognized as specialists.
South America also caught on mesotherapy treatments before such treatments finally became popular in the United States in the late 90's.
Today, mesotherapy is one of the fastest growing aesthetic medicine specialties.
